Hey hey everybody! You don’t need anti-depressants, you just need The Lemons! Juicy James, Kimmy Slice, John Lemon, Chris Twist, Kelly Lamone, and Billy Sour toss out quick doses of candy-coated bubble pop that everyone calls “jangly” but we wanna be creative and call them “skippy”.

TEEN RUNNINGS (TOKYO, JAPAN)
One listen to Tokyo’s Teen Runnings will remind you of the fact that nowhere has more beaches than an island. While there have been waves of bands doing the ocean-inspired pop thing these days, TR truly bring a nouveau perspective to the psych/surf genre. Their jangle is all in the vocals, backed by tight yet simple drum patterns, with incredibly washed out psych rhythm guitar give it all backbone. Supported by Masashi on drums and Masato on bass, the current incarnation of the band is more aggressive, drawing on 60’s psych and surf influences, as well as 80’s and 90’s punk and lo-fi. The end result is summer captured in every song. Put on a record, open your window, and let winter drift out to sea.
